Core Groups
Core Groups are a vital part of our ministry. They meet for about an hour and a half and are a time to build a relationship with God and with each other. Joining a Core Group may very well be one of the best decisions you make during your time here at the University of Virginia. Not only will you grow in your walk with Jesus, you will also make lifelong friends. It's truly amazing, and lots of fun!

Testimony
"There I was sitting around a table with a few other guys I didn't know from around the country and the world. We were going to walk with Jesus together for the next year. I had no idea what to expect.
Pretty soon we were all hanging out together. A year later, I look up and there is one of those "guys I didn't know" ushering my mom down the aisle at my wedding- he was an usher at my wedding! How did that happen?
Well to make a long story short, my core group was one of the most life changing things that has ever happened to me. I had finally experienced real discipleship. My walk with God was totally revolutionized and I made some great Christian friendships that will last the rest of my life. At my graduation dinner I remember saying: "I have learned many things during my University experience, but it doesn't really compare to what happened in my life through my discipleship group."
I want to invite you to make being involved in a core group a priority. There are many things that will try to take up your time, but I urge you to carve out time for a core group. Take advantage of the opportunity you have to experience real discipleship while you are here. I pray and trust that God will use a core group to transform you and your walk with Him."
