Spring Break Trips
We are so excited for spring break trips this coming March! Take a look below to see where we're headed, what the cost of each trip is, and who to contact with any questions!
Signups will take place on Saturday, November 15 at 8am at the Chi Alpha Campus (2000 Stadium Rd).
The application is available here! Please bring a printed, filled out application and necessary deposit with you to signups.
Granada, Spain
Join us as we partner with Andrew and Jess Foster to serve their university ministry, Raices, and their church plant! Less than 0.5% of people in Granada claim a personal relationship with Jesus. During the week, we will learn more about secular Europe and the context of this city, conduct student interviews on campus, and pray over Granada. At night, we will build relationships with students over tapas and host events at the ministry center in the heart of Granada.

East Africa**
We’re excited to announce our new trip to East Africa! Join us as we travel to a bustling coastal city, home to more than one million people and rich in culture and history. Together, we’ll partner with a local team, dive into learning Swahili, and spend time out in the community connecting with locals. This is an incredible opportunity to experience what kingdom work looks like on the ground in continental Africa.

North Africa**
We are excited to join what the Lord is doing in North Africa! We will work with a training team and learn what it looks like to do ministry in this Muslim context. We'll have opportunities to learn from and interact with Muslims in the community. We will also taste and explore a bit of the local culture and history, as we grow our understanding of the need fro Christ in this country.

Indian Ocean**
Come with us as we journey to the Indian Ocean! This stunning island is known for its turquoise waters, vibrant culture, and deep Islamic heritage. During our time there, we’ll partner with a local team devoted to sharing the hope of Jesus among the unreached. Our week will include practicing English with locals, exploring historic areas, experiencing local cuisine and hospitality, learning about life and faith in a Muslim-majority culture, and encouraging those serving long-term on the island.

Mediterranean
Join us for a Spring Break mission trip to the Mediterranean in a country where just 0.4% of the population knows Jesus personally. We will engage in university ministry by handing out coffee, having conversations with students, and building relationships over meals and events. Activities also include prayer walking, helping with local church projects, and attending seminars on ministry among secular people groups in Europe.

**Each of these trips takes place over Ramadan in an Islamic context, and the staff have planned accordingly. Trip leaders can answer any questions you may have.
Buffalo, New York
With little church or ministry presence in the northeast, we'll spend time serving alongside the Chi Alpha group at Buffalo State and pray for God to move in this city of over 50,000 college students! Our team will do outreach on campus, have meals with students, and share what we love about Chi Alpha. If you have a heart to serve and to share the love of Christ with others, come to Buffalo!

Washington, D.C.
Time to see-see DC! Our team will be getting a full taste of inner city ministry and all its different avenues. Our partner, Urban Outreach, works to bring the love of Christ to the city by ministering through spiritually based education, training, and outreach. We will be serving through work projects, homeless ministry, food/clothing ministries, and community outreach. If you want to foster your heart towards the least of these, please join us for a week of service and fellowship!

We are also staying in Charlottesville for Spring Break! We will serve in our very own community by partnering with local organizations including Abundant Life and JABA, and learning what it looks like to be the hands and feet of God here.

Community Housing Solutions
Come be a part of Chi Alpha UVA’s longest-standing missions partnership! Community Housing Solutions is an organization that helps remodel homes for low-income families in the Greensboro, N.C. area. The team will work on projects for the week, which will range from repairing roofs, to building ramps, to remodeling bathrooms. No prior construction experience is necessary!

Habitat for Humanity
We're headed to Charleston, SC, to team up with the local Habitat for Humanity! Habitat is an organization that seeks to put God's love into action, where their vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live. This will be a great time to bond with other students, as we make hands-on, physical changes to the community around us!
