Guest Speakers: Andrew and Jess Foster

Andrew and Jess Foster  are both alumni of The University of Virginia! They currently serve as leaders of a church planting team in Granada, Spain, where they have lived since 2017. Their team is part of the Secular Peoples Initiative, a movement launched by the Europe Region of AG World Missions dedicated to the advocacy, training, and sending of teams to plant churches among the least reached peoples and places of the secular world. They believe deeply in God's heart for the lost and are dedicated to seeing thriving communities of faith planted among the secular peoples of Europe.

  • How much does Retreat cost?

    Fall Retreat costs $120, which includes your food and lodging.


    If you need financial assistance and are on financial aid at UVA, you can apply for a grant from the Cavalier fund to cover your costs! Go through the registration form above, and the instructions to apply for a grant are on the last step. 


    However, if you are not eligible for the Cav Fund and this is your first semester in Chi Alpha, there is a $50 scholarship for you from the generous support from many faithful donors, bringing your retreat cost to $70!

  • What should I bring?

    Bible, notebook, sleeping bag, pillow, towel, toiletries, money for gas, games, football/frisbee to share. There will be free time with lots of fun activities and study time if you need it!


    We will also be selling our XA Swag during the sessions and Pine Creek has snacks for sale throughout the weekend, so bring a card/cash if you would like to make any purchases.

  • What is there to do at Retreat?

    There is going to be so much to do at Retreat! We will be having great times of worship and get to hear messages from our incredible guest speakers. We will also have plenty of free time for a bonfire, sand volleyball, nature hikes, basketball, board games, gaga ball, field games, and much more!
